SUMMARY:The Impact of Core-Collapse Supernovae on Gravitational-Wave Astrop
 hysics
DESCRIPTION:par Jade Powell (Swinburne University of Technology)\n\nAbstr
act : \n\nCore-collapse supernovae (CCSNe) mark the violent deaths of mas
sive stars and are among the most energetic explosions in the Universe. Th
ese catastrophic events are responsible for the formation of the neutron s
tars and black holes observed through gravitational waves. CCSNe also dire
ctly emit gravitational waves\, and are key targets for gravitational-wave
detection\, offering a unique window into the central mechanism that powe
rs these explosions. This talk will discuss the latest developments in CCS
N numerical simulations\, including the impact on the birth properties of
black holes and neutron stars observed through gravitational waves\, the l
atest CCSN gravitational waveform models\, and the potential for current a
nd next-generation gravitational-wave detectors to extract astrophysical a
nd nuclear physics insights from these events.\n\nLieu : Bât. 200/0-Audit
